Our Signage

A well-designed signage system enhances campus navigation, promotes safety and strengthens brand identity. Clear, consistent signs help students, faculty and visitors find their way with ease and create a welcoming environment. By incorporating our colors, typography and logo, our signage also reinforces institutional pride and presents a professional, unified image across the campus.

Outdoor Signage - Temporary

Temporary signage on buildings, light poles and other fixtures is sometimes appropriate in the promotion of high-visibility university events and priorities. Marketing and Communications collaborates with the Facilities Management Department to plan and execute all large-scale temporary signage programs.

Signage Requirements

All new signs must adhere to our wayfinding standards and must be approved by the Facilities Department. For help with signage, call the Facilities Management Service Center at 978-934-2601 or submit a service request.

Outdoor Signage - Permanent

The university has established standards and requirements for all exterior and interior permanent signage.

UMass Lowell campus signage designs for directions and parking, shown in various sizes and formats.

Indoor Displays

Branded displays (pop-up banners, tabletop signage, tablecloths) may be used campus-wide and/or for conferences, seminars, public meetings and other events. Contact Marketing and Communications for assistance with your display.

Vehicle Identification

The UMass Lowell vehicle fleet represents the university to the public. The vehicle’s department may be identified in a line next to the logo.

Affixing the logo on an oddly shaped surface may pose a challenge. Marketing and Communications designers are able to offer solutions, up to and including full vehicle wraps for buses and large vehicles.
